Help on a box upgrade

Hi,

I have an old untangle box, which i wanted to upgrade. So went in for a new rackmount box. Now i have installed untangle on it, and since there are many rules / policies in place, i wanted to import it from the old box.

I have seen in the past that untangle also tries to import the network card settings, which won't work in this case. The first box has a different network card and the rackmount has different card.

Is there a way i can import everything from one untangle to another without importing the network card settings ?

Install on new box, should detect the nics in that box, install the same modules you have on exisitng box, restore backup to new box, should detect interface (nic) changes and be ready to go (if i've paid close attention in the past), more complicated if you have subscriptions/support i think...

Tried this already. When i restore the backup, it says nics changed, and when refreshed shows the nics of the old server as well (even when they are non existent). All nics name changes.
