I don't know if this is just me, or other people.
When I had 9.0, I had a problem at about 1 - 2 am every night, the firewall would start swapping, and then dhcp would disconnect. sometimes once, sometimes for a few hours every 15 minutes or so. once untangle updated to 9.1.0 it seemed to be fine. After it updated to 9.1.1 since 6 am this morning. every 15 minutes or so, dhcp would disconnect all day and is still doing it. I tried a reinstall on 9.0, it did not solve the problem. input appreciated |

Hi,
Shoot an email off to support@untangle.com with your UID and enable remote support and I'll take a look and see if I see anything.

So this is interesting.
I ended up reinstalling untangle 9.1.1 and it worked fine for a few weeks Now, I noticed, every 30 - 40 minutes or so, it does a swap. the hard drive light is solid during the swap. This time, it does not disconnect the DHCP as I can ping internal and external ip's but I cannot surf for a few minutes each time it swaps. this swap problem has been consistent since 9.0 but shows up in different ways. Not sure if it's just a hardware conflict, or something else |

Hi Dmorris,
I waited a couple of days, but couldn't take the spuratic disconnecting so i reinstalled. it was fine for a few weeks. then it almost seems like the logs built up or something. this happened on the older builds as well. I also noticed that not only is the hard drive light continually fully lit swapping, but that the CPU is spiking as well. think I might have bad hardware. The server reports show continual 1 minute spikes at 15 load. I'm not sure what 15 stands for? 15 percent of cpu? if support wants to look at it, I can re email or open my service in the interface. your help is appreciated |

sorry, i got side tracked.
I temporary fixed the problem by turning off all firewall logging. Least I think that is what did it. but I better have support login in case it's a problem with untangle which I have a feeling it is since i noticed several other people with the same problem. Help appreciated, i will do that |
