Default Uninstalling IPSec

Hi guys,

I added the IPSec module but decided not to use it. When clicking on Settings of IPSec it get's stuck at "Loading Settings" and never moves away from it. I tried rebooting but still same behavior. Anyone knows how to get rid of this module?

See attached image.

Thanks
Petter

Hi Petterolsson,

The gui removal is in the settings tab so no luck there.

What browser are you using?

You can via SSH or the local terminal use the command:
ucli

try first ucli installed to get the packet name
I think that is:
untangle-libitem-trial14-ipsec
untangle-libitem-ipsec
untangle-node-ipsec

then try to run
ucli uninstall untangle-node-ipsec
ucli uninstall untangle-libitem-ipsec
ucli uninstall untangle-libitem-trial14-ipsec

Or as IPSec is a paid module contact support@untangle.com.

Hi Webfool,

I had tried Firefox, Chrome and Safari but the same result. ucli uninstall fixed this though so no worries. Thank you!

Second question though. I did not know about this ucli command. Is there a similar command for running the backup that is ordinarily done from the GUI? There is of course something happening when you click the Backup button just not sure what it is

Thanks
Petter

Petterolsson,

Glad that it work!

There are some backup scripts you can call from the terminal
"/usr/share/untangle-net-alpaca/scripts/backup" but i have not tested to restore from that.
And if i remember correctly Dirk said it only was a part of the hole backup.

Webfool,

Found this: http://forums.untangle.com/installat...html#post89028

Is that still a valid way of doing backups?

Thanks
Petter

Also found the ut-backup bash script in /usr/share/untangle/bin which seems to grab most things but of course, who would dare to use it without confirmation that it grabs everything?

Thanks
Petter

the only supported backup method is through the GUI at Config > System > Backup or having Config Backup in the rack.

Hi hlarsen,

Is there an unsupported command line way?

Thanks
Petter

/usr/share/untangle/bin/ut-backup in 9.2 is the same as the GUI backup button and similar to the Configuration Backup cloud backup app. Using the command line is not supported as it can change in future updates.
