Default Untangle can't load APPS After it is Installed

After running the installation setup, untangle fails to sucessfully load the "Congratulations" screen to start downloading the different APPS.

When installing UT on Bridge Mode, when entering the Static IP Address configurations, it gave me a DNS error. I finally entered a DNS address which sufessfully worked (it never worked when entering the secondary DNS address), then I complete the initial configurations steps, but it never complete to download and install any of the applications.

I am using UT 9.0.2 64 bits version. I also tried 9.1.1 32 bits version but the issue was the same.

I entered into the Cisco Router 857 and reviewed the configurations and there is any configuration blocking any traffic and the firewall is off.

Can you please provide any help on this one?

Open the browser in UT's console and start browsing. If Untangle can't browse your External's IP configuration isn't proper to get online. Issues that case that are almost never Untangle related, you've either configured UT with the wrong IP information, or something beyond Untangle is blocking it.

Hi Sky-Knight,

I can't browse from UT brower as well (tried www.untangle.com and www.google.com), but if I connect another computer to the any of the router ethternet ports, the other computer sucessfully browse at Internet. In fact, I am currently connected and writing over that connection.

I configure a local IP address to UT into the same IP range as the router's local IP address.

Have you duplicated a working IP configuration from one of those working stations on the Untangle?

The Untangle box is directly connected to one of the router's ethernet ports (it has 4 available ports).

Yes, I have entered same IP address, Gateway and DNS addresses from the computer I am working, but it did not fix the issue.

Verify that the port you plugged into the router is actually the external. It should light up and turn off in the UI when you are first setting up the box on the "Interfaces" page of the setup wizard.

Or, go to config networking and click on "interfaces" you should see external with a little green light next to it and will go off when you unplug the cable.

If you can't browse the internet from the Untangle console, it's not set up correctly.

Hi Guys,

I have a spare router and replace the current one. Inmediatelly UT started working fine. I already downloaded the standard version and almost completing the configuration for the server side and have not had any issue at all.

By any chance have you experience this type of issue in the past and have an idea about what this issue is about (just for my knowledge and have an idea about if the old router can be repaired or if it is related to any configuration issue)?

Thanks a lot for your usual quick replies and support!!!

arp caching on the router? Cisco gear can have very long arp caches.
