Question Not able to connect after a modem replacement

    Hello.

Today my modem (2wire 2701hg) stopped working and my isp provided me a new one (huawei hg530), my Untangle Server was working in bridge mode and now after connecting the new modem I canīt connect anymore to internet, itīs being two years after I installed untangle and always has worked great, (I even have OpenVPN running on it) at this moment I donīt remember what should I do to make it work again.

    build: 9.1.1 svn20111222r30591 release 9.1.1-lenny
    java: 1.6.0_20

any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards

Untangle bridges have to match the IP configuration of your network.

Did the new router start handing out new IP addresses? If it did, Untangle will need reconfigured to match.

    Thank you sky-knight

Thatīs exactly what the modem did, then I disabled dhcp in the modem and changed itīs lan ip to match my lan range (10.11.21.x) but when trying to ping from untangle server (10.11.21.3) to the new modem ip (10.11.21.254) it says host unreachable.

My external untangle nic is 10.11.21.3 and internal is set to bridge to external, default gateway in external is 10.11.21.254 as well as primary dns server.

Double check your net masks, they both need to be /24 (255.255.255.0)

    Well, itīs working now.

The net submask was ok, what I did was to set the ip (10.11.21.254) as an alias in the modem and that solved the problem, not sure tough how this alias works.

    Thanks a lot sky-knight
