    Default Web console not working

My SSL sertificate expired today, so I generated a new CSR and requested a new one. When importing the new certificate, it took a long while, and I got a message that the browser lost connection to the Untangle console.

Now I'm not able to access the admin web either from the browser on the server itself, nor from another computer.

If I try to access an URL that I know is blocked, I do not get the web page with the stop sign either, but other than that, it looks like the server works as normal.

Is there any command I can use to reset to self signed certificate and get the admon console working again?

Email support@untangle.com with your UID and we'll fix it

    or just:
    mv /etc/apache/ssl/apache.pem.old /etc/apache/ssl/apache.pem
    /etc/init.d/apache restart

A fix for this will be coming in a later build

Where do I find my UID?

I will try those commands, but is this a bug in my build, so I shouldn't give it another try yet, and just keep running with self signed? I think I'm running 9.1.1.

Untangle doesn't check if the CSR matches the Certificate before it imports it. So if you don't get the certificate process perfect, and we all know how easy it is to screw it up, you'll cause apache to fail to load.

The process that DMorris outlined is out to restore the original self signed certificate that Untangle backed up. This will allow Apache to start, and restore your UT server to normal operation.

Thanks for great help, I just got apache started again.

Should I give it another try to import the same certificate, or will that just case the same thing to happen again?

Do I need to make a new CSR and do it all over again?

Another quick question, I can't remember if I'm running x86 or x64. Where can I see that?

I don't think it's in the UI anywhere. From the command line, uname -p will tell you.

Also, if you see 4 or more GB of RAM installed, you're running 64bit.

Oh, nevermind. No its not an issue in your build.

    cat /usr/share/untangle/conf/uid

    will show your uid
