Problem with untangle client launcher

Hi,

I am trying to run the client launcher from my machine. The web page shows with the options to launch the client or view the reports.

I can view the reports fine and I also have Java 1.6.0_07 installed on my machine running XP SP2.

When I select to lauch the client however, I see 2 icons on my task bar (Java Web Start and Warning - Security) but cannot open either of them and have to use task manager to shut them down. This happens in both FF and IE. I also downloaded it to my desktop, renamed it 'untangle' and the same thing happens from there also.

Has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do to get around it?

BTW, I only downloaded and installed it today and it looks a great product from what I've seen so far and the installer couldn't be easier.

Try right-clicking on the taskbar items and say "restore" or "maximize" instead of closing them out.

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately I can't get a context window so cannot do this...it's also why I have to close them from the task manager.
It looks like they open up and hang before they can display.

Have just updated to SP3 and it makes no difference, they two programs still seem to get locked in the task bar. I've also made sure that Java is passed through the XP firewall and tried it with the firewall disabled.

Has anyone got any further ideas please?
