    Default Transparent Bridging / Interface names

    Hi all,

    I would like to know how to set up Untangle's interfaces up to bridge transparently with no IP address assigned to the bridge or either interface. Basically it would look like:

    Gateway Router-><-eth0-Untangle-eth1-><-switch-><-><-router-WAN->
    _____________________^Untangle eth2 - static IP for management, email, http, etc

    I dont want the bridge to have any address. The problem we have is that we route several subnets and for some reason the Untangle box wont pass any traffic through it unless it has an IP or an interface in that subnet. (ie, the private WAN)

    Can Untangle work this way? I can't seem to set External and Internal to just be the "Bridge" without External requiring its own IP address.

    Untangle doesn't support fully transparent bridging, it only functions as a brouter, a bridging router. So it must have an ip address as well as a route to all subnets it sends to.
