Hi. I have been trying to get my self-hosted WordPress blog connected with their Jetpack service and found that the intrusion prevention service is blocking it.
The Error you get in WordPress admin while trying to connect is: Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed Empty reply from server] My site is publicly available but checked the logs and saw the intrusion prevention service was blocking it. This is the rule that is blocking it: #3827: WEB-PHP xmlrpc.php post attempt I had to disable this rule temporarily while it connected to WordPress Jetpack service, then re-enabled the rule afterwards. Everything is working fine now.
