Generally that is a bug.

We used to have a similar issue with mapquest where the map graphic wouldn't load because AOL decided it would be a good idea to use a malformed URL to reference it.

Ahh so I am not the only one going insane and struggling with no logs (this is good to know) from time to time regarding this issue on other sites....
