Default Can Untangle Pass Along A Real World IP Address

Hi Guys
I am planning on using untangle as spam/virus blocker for my email server but my question is can untangle pass along an real world ip to my email server or not.

here is the picture I am talking about:

Yes, its only a job of configuring well the ip address, gateway and routes.
And of course, you must be the owner of one public ip free in the same subnet of the mail server

now if I do that would the untangle box still work as an spam/virus box to the mail server like that?

Untangle must be inline whit the equipment to protect.

Bridge mode...

By default Untangle with a 3rd interface will bridge the DMZ interface to External to make this a reality. You use a public address on your External interface, Internal provides the NAT and other features needed for the network to run normally. Then the DMZ interface extends the public IP space in to a server, or servers that are addressed as if they were online directly. Except, all traffic bound to them is still subject to the rack, so you can protect them.
