Every now and then I will loss internet connectivity on my PC. And then after 10+ minutes it will start working again. When this happens on this PC the http traffic is not being passed to the external interface (eth0) on the Untangle box. I have confirmed this by running the following command in a putty session for each interface:
tcpdump -i eth0 -S -s 0 port 80 and host 192.168.1.35 tcpdump -i eth1 -S -s 0 port 80 and host 192.168.1.35 (Attached is tcpdump output on eth0 from putty session. No results on the eth1 interface) Specs: Untangle 7.3 64Bit Dell PowerEdge SC1435 Quad Core 2356 Processor 2.3Ghz Opteron 4GB 667MHz Memory 160GB 7.2RPM SATA HD Dual Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5721 NICs Any ideas? I am also losing internet connectivity for about 10mins (then starts magically working again) and appears to be related to the external interface since we are able to ping the gateway (untangle) internally. I have scoured through the logs (/var/log and /var/log/uvm/) and have found no direct cause to the issue...
I am also running Untangle 64 bit version 7.3 AMD ATHLON 64 LE-1640 2.5GHz DDR2 RAM Seagate 80GB 7200RPM HDD 1x Realtek (Internal interface NIC) 1x Startech 10/100 (External interface NIC) |

You can see the SYN packets go out (unNATd - is untangle in bridge mode?) but they come back with resets. a_bains: the chances that your issue is the same is small. I'd start here: http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/The_internet_is_down

I just realized that the filename for the attached file was wrong. It is in fact the tcpdump output for the internal interface eth1 not the external eth0 interface on the Untangle box. When the computer is in this state the internal interface (eth1) is not passing the traffic along to the external (eth0) interface. Sorry for the mix up and confusion.
