Question Logout of Untangle? Performance measurements and upgrades?

    Hi
this may seem silly to ask but i know i have to login to configure untangle but i'd like logout when i'm done or at least know the proper way (if any) to logout - is there a logout procedure or is there a way to terminate an administrative connection after a set time when the browser window is closed (configuration via browser to untangle's IP) ?

Is there a way to measure my current load on my untangle server or perhaps a crude tool equivalent to task manager in xp that could tell me how my celeron 2.6 Ghz box is doing running everything i've installed?

and lastly, should i take out my internal 10/100 nic and put in a 10/100/1000 one instead if i'm tying in my untangle server to my switch w/ a gig port?

    Many thanks, rodney

The admin connection is not persistent, and you need to login to it each time. What might be handy is an inactivity timer to log you out. A lot of people are using top or other Linux tools at the Untangle command line. SNMP will also give you stats, and better stats in 5.1.

You still have a 10/100? You ought to mount that puppy on a wall. Untangle will run at speeds higher than 100 if you have the card to support it, so you can get better throughput by upgrading your NIC.
