    Default Untangle GUI not working

    Hi,
We have been having some power outages due to weather and I'm afraid it might be connected to our issue. When trying to access the GUI we get this error msg..

    ---
    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Additionally a 500 internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to hand the request.
    ---

From previous posts I have tried to check a few logs..
    /var/log/messages contains these messages
    CPD didn't start
    Unable to start CPD
    CPD Died

    /var/log/postgresql-8.3-main.log contains this..
Could not load root certificate file root.crt
    Will not verify client certificates
Database system was interrupted while in recovery
This probably means same data is corrupted. Database system was not properly shutdown.
    Incomplete startup packet

Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

the first part isn't important. The second part is. Looks like you have a corrupted postgres database.

Google for "Postgres corrupted database recovery"

You are probably better off just re-imaging.

I had this happen because of power bouncing around on a box last year. The only real fix is to either pave the box and start over... or if the console comes up enough, you can use the recovery tools to reset to factory default.

Hi, one more question about our issue.. Is there anyway to grab a backup of the config from the server before we reload? I can access the terminal and login just not the untangle client.

doubtful, as the database is dead and thats where the settings are.

if you have configuration backup call support and they can provide the latest backup.
