VPN Site to site

Hi.
Just wanted to hear if anyone have experiences about making a site to site vpn with UT.
The main site has an fixed IP, the server side. The other is "floating", the "client side".
Will this work? Is a dynamic DNS required on the client side?

Other questions:
Have tried the openvpn software (windows XP) with varying results. The issue seems to be the routing or anything the routing depends on when the vpn client is started. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Tips and tricks appreciated. Thanks!
