    Exclamation OpenVPN connectivity issues

    Hi guys,

I just noticed that my OpenVPN clients will disconnect randomly (But all at once). Seems to have started about 1 week ago.

The only thing I have been able find in the logs is this:

    Fri Jun 8 11:21:09 2012 ec2-linux-3/1.2.3.4:34963 58 variation(s) on previous 20 message(s) suppressed by --mute
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:09 2012 ec2-linux-3/1.2.3.4:34963 [ec2-linux-3] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:11 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:15 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)

    Fri Jun 8 11:21:18 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:22 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:28 2012 ec2-linux-2/1.2.3.4:57957 [ec2-linux-2] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:28 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:28 2012 read UDPv4 [ECONNREFUSED]: Connection refused (code=111)
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:32 2012 ec2-linux-4/1.2.3.4:60317 [ec2-linux-4] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting
    Fri Jun 8 11:21:38 2012 ec2-linux-1/1.2.3.4:45582 [ec2-linux-1] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting

Anyone have any ideas on what might be happening or what information I need to log to find out what is going on here?

    FYI: I have static IP.

    Thanks
    Petter

are they disconnecting when you're inside OpenVPN saving changes?

Do you have any un-used interfaces with their config type set to Dynamic? If so, change them to static. Are these site clients or soft clients?

Ah. It's still in the FAQ in the wiki so I was unaware of that. Thanks sky-night!
