    Default OpenVPN Viscosity

Good Day, I am trying to connect to my router using vpn with viscosity. I have installed open vpn on on the router and configured as server meaning I want to use the router as the access point in witch I vpn into the network. I have aquired both the .opvn and .cong files and have them added to viscosity. When attempting to connect i receive this error "A valid network to the remote server does not exist. Please make sure your computer has a valid network connection and try again"

I thought this was as simple as installing both server and client software, loading proper config files and connecting. Looks like I was wrong.

Please help me , thank you.

    Thumbs up Figured it out

Wow, so I realized that the remote server needed to be added to settings which was the public IP. This got me farther, but i received a new error. Checked the logs and it says something about authentication, realized that all files from exported config zip where not together. Made a folder, added all files deleted connection and re-added it. Voila !

Just like to mention that after playing around with captive portal I learned you can add another layer of security to Openvp clients by creating an Openvpn rule, amazing !

Just remember to export the admin/cpd internal address and also remember to connect to the internal cps webpage to log in.

    Very impressive !
