    Default Third-party software.

I've installed Untangle on a spare computer to filter intenet use. I have it blocking all streaming music but I want to have an internal stream running locally to the network as the network runs many times faster than the internet connection. Is it possible to install the ShoutCast server on the same machine as Unangle?

It is, but currently its not as easy as it will be in 5.1

Untangle is currently debian sarge based, so you need to add the debian sarge entries to your /etc/apt/sources.list and then do an apt-get install of whatever you like.

The problem will be that the untangle-vm will catch traffic that is destined for the shoutcast server and not know what to do with it. In 5.1 you'll be able to tell the server not to send this traffic to the untangle-vm which will allow you to run all sorts of stuff alongside the untangle-vm gracefully...
