I turn off the dyndns updater client and kept running your 2nd curl command every hour and notice that its no longer showing any checkip.dyndns.org for the current date of 27th. So your right its the dyndns updater client is the one keeping that count high.

Hello folks, can anyone give me a bump in right direction for this error running the script:
