Default UPS email alert

Does anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive ups that can generate it's own email alert for a power outage and send it via ethernet?

We use UPSs by a company called Powerware. Take look at them, I'm sure they got something for your situation.

Try ebayelectronics.com and search for APC, Powerware, Tripplite or even UPS. If you know what you are looking for ebay can be a great deal and you could even get some higher end equipment for CHEAP.

Most all of our IT equipement at my last employer was bought on ebay. We had an S.O.P. that stated we could not buy anything IT related (Hardware, software, etc...) without having a quote from ebay or some other online auction or refurbished dealer. If and only if we couldnt find anything second hand we could buy it. They were a $175 Million a year company. After some resistance the procedure worked very well and our company saved a heck of alot of money.

I have a standing policy of not doing jack with used parts... the return rates have been nightmarish.
