    Default MMO's and 100% CPU

I play Vanguard and lately I have been getting massive lag to the point of being kicked off the servers. I bring up Firefox on another monitor and I notice that when I am playing my cpu slowly creeps to 100%. It shows 80% User, and 20% system. I try to plan ahead and turn off EVERYTHING in the default rack and it still doesn't help. After 5 minutes or so after leaving the game, the cpu load drops and then when I start the game up again, Untangle bogs down again. If I am turning off everything what is causing the 80% user usage? Where can I look at the specifics on the load, network, and member usages?

    Thanx.

are you running untangle on the same system your gaming on? it is likely your game using your cpu.

    list your computer specifications.

    Default My environment

I have a dedicated untangle box. It has 1 gig of ram, a 60 gb ide drive. The weird thing is VM staticstics. I have 704016 pageins, 44916524 pagesouts, and 71326100 pagefaults. Now to me, that looks like it would be a memory problem. The swap files are 1999.86 MB total swap space with 0.5MBs used. I rarely exceed 10KB/sec TX speed. The system sees the process being an XP2500+ 1833.216 for systme speed. There are 92 tasks, 22% user, 98% system usage and 1.28, 2.25, 1.87 as my current load average.

I have a dedicated game system which I can't use because of the lag. I have a domain server, a file server, and a main system running. I have a Multimedia system that rarely goes to the internet. I have 2 additional PC's that sometimes go out and 2 Xbox 360's that as of late, have forgotten what current is supposed to do.

I just upgraded (manually) to 7.0 and it has stayed at 100% for the past 2 days that I have been able to monitor it.

Is the UT in router or bridge mode? Also, did you disable or make exceptions in Attack Blocker?
