Default Favorite media player?

I am bored and thought I would ask everyone what some of their favorite media players are.

I personally like Winamp and VLC player.

For music, I used WinAmp for years, and its turning into a media portal, which translates to too much fluff, not enough speed and general pain in the butt. I switched to Foobar 2000. I LIKE IT!

For movies, Media Player Classic. No codec arguments there! They're both open source too!

I use Media Center on this Vista Ultimate for most stuff. I did the DVD Library registry hack and I have a crap ton of movies I ripped (off my own disks, I do legal crap here) so I can watch them on my PC. I have the remote for the thing too.

I do like Media Player Classic... but it isn't as easy to integrate with the Shell. Winamp... meh I used to love it, now it's all commercial crap and no substance.

Try Foobar 2000. No commercial interruptions, fast startup, spectrum analyzer built in, plus the main reason I got it was for seamless SHN/FLAC playback. It does conversions too!

I have hundreds of thousands of MP3's and the only thing that can handle them well for me seems to be mediamonkey. Not free but good.

why install codecs when one program can run them all, including mounting iso files?
