    A sad truth... yet steeped in our society's reverence of productivity. If the thing works the first time, you just move on and forget about it. If it doesn't then it's an issue and sticks in the memory for ages.

    It's the reason real IT guys are out of work so regularly... if you're doing your job correctly your clients don't need you.

    If you're doing your job correctly, they rarely even notice you. You're their best buddy when they want you to fix something, and ignore you the rest of the time. I always do my best, because sometimes that knowledge is the only thing you take home with you at the end of the day.
