    Talking Don't forget to K-I-S-S

It truly is amazing the extent we'll go to complicate even the simplest of stuff!

    I hear that!

I always tell people I hate occam's razor, which generally states the simplest explanation is usually the most correct. Cuz I usually over complicate things.

I would blame the complication on people (including myself) thinking well its a computer nothing is "simple". But in actually its quite the opposite.

For example you can't get on the internet, just that statement could imply hundreds of possibilities. But unless you have check as they called in my Cisco class the "physical layer" then chances are that is where your problem lies.

Just climbing up the OSI model when it comes to problems with Untangle can save a lot of headaches when trying to figure out a problem.

Sometimes when I get a really "interesting problem" I have to sit back and recall what I learned in my networking classes from High School. Most of it was Cisco related but it all related to networking in general.
