    Default Windows 7 Support?

I have tried installing openvpn with windows 7 and have run into problems. Openvpn connects fine, but no ping. Cannot do any communication to anything on the other side.

Does anybody have any tricks to get openvpn working on 7?

You need to make sure that you run the client as the administrator, otherwise it can not add the route. This is everytime you connect.

    Hi,
What version of untangle do you have?
You need to have 7.0 or later for Windows 7.
You also might need to run the installer as admin..

So uninstall and reinstalla as admin.

Yes if you are using UT v7 or above, the OpenVPN needs to be installed and then run as the admin. I have installed it on Windows 7 multiple times now, and it works like a charm (after I installed/ran as admin).

You need the lastest OPenVPN client as posted above, prior ones will not work

I am still having problems with this. I have uninstalled and installed RC19 and have now installed RC20 as admin and running as admin. It connects fine to Untangle 7.0.1, but no communication. I can ping the ip address of the untangle system and get a response, but anything else is a no go. If I do a route print I can see the 2 routes added. Any other ideas?

I used it under Windows 7 with the 6.2 UT. I had to manually go out and get the latest OpenVPN beta at the time. Worked great with Win7.

It still sounds like it is not adding the static routes required (as if running as administrator did not give permissions). What does your arp table show?
