    Default Run Bat script Pre/Connect/Dis

I don't know if you all know this but the OpenVPN gui can run a batch file before/when connected/disconnected.

I use this feature to map shares for my VPN users.
Currently i am looking in to creating a script that verifies the Host Computer to check antivirus/system settings and depending on that connect or disconnect the tunnel.

If there are a public interest of this feature i will see if i can make it easy to implement with untangle.

Let me know what you think/would want it to check.

    Cheers WebFooL

BTW here is the doc on how the bat usage.
Preconnect If a file named "xxx_pre.bat" exist in the config folder
where xxx is the same as your OpenVPN config file name,
this will be executed BEFORE the OpenVPN tunnel is established.

Connect If a file named "xxx_up.bat" exist in the config folder
where xxx is the same as your OpenVPN config file name,
this will be executed AFTER the OpenVPN tunnel is established.

Disconnect If a file named "xxx_down.bat" exist in the config folder
where xxx is the same as your OpenVPN config file name,
this will be executed BEFORE the OpenVPN tunnel is closed.

WebFooL, that would be a very good tool to have.

I agree this would be very useful for novice users on the network that need to have access as soon as they connect.

WebFooL, would this be like NAC (network admission control)?

No, this is creating a login/logoff script that fires when the connection is established or disconnected. I've been toying with this feature myself trying to make my NOD32 clients on laptops force an update after the VPN fires up. It's a way for me to have my update mirror push updates to the remote portables, without me having to make the update mirror itself public.

I can only get this to work using the gui. If the connection is established through the service alone then my _up.bat is not being launched.

    Anyone know of a fix??
