Default Same IP scope on internal network and OpenVPN client's network

    Hello all,

I've run into a snag with one of our newly hired regional reps has the same IP scope as our internal network.

    192.168.0.0/24 - Our internal network
    |
    192.168.13.0/24 - OpenVPN range
    |
192.168.0.0/24 - VPN client's internal network on the other side of the country

is there ANY way i can get this to work? Host files, subnetting, voodoo?? I don't think I can dictate the remote site's IP range (and honestly, I don't want to). He only needs access to one server on our internal network.

    Thanks in advance!

VPN simply will not work if the two LANs are on the same subnet. It's just not possible. With everything in the same subnet it has no way to distinguish between VPN traffic and local traffic.

You may one day find something interesting here. Today is not that day. Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.

This is why you NEVER use 192.168.0.0/24 as your corporate IP range.

yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. I'm dealing with this mess, but I didn't create it. Thanks for the updates.
