My friend has a windows server 2003 buissness edition server, we are trying to get his server to VPN in to my network. But we can't get the openvpn to work. it installs ok, but when you try to run it, a message popes up saying "openvpn-gui.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002)" I first tried this as a user with admin rights, when it didn't work, I uninstalled it, and had my friend log in with the Administrator account, and installed it and he got the same result. Anyideas? Is there anyother openvpn clinet I can installed besides the GUI that comes with untangle? Thanks |

The OpenVPN should be installed and you can use it without the gui.
Just open a terminal and go to the install path\bin and run "openvpn.exe --help" But it looks just like you are lacking the c++ support. Try downloading the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package" And see if that helps.

The "Stock" OpenVPN 2.2.2 Installer includes the "Microsoft Visual C 9.0 Runtime DLL"
OpenVPN2.2.2.jpg I will include them in the next update to the Untangle OpenVPN installer. Thanks for reporting the issue!
