OK.
New to this, I have the attached setup. (Network.png) Untangle 7.1 (Open Source Packages) + Policy Manager Trying to get the policy manager to apply web filters to given IP addresses. Do I set the default rack to block all the unwanteds in "Web Filters" And then have a super user (me, and the wife) with our IP's pointing to "No Rack", giving us full access. Attached, is the policy manager rules I set. Why doesn't it work? ? |

Hi,
Is it only the Web Filter that you want to bypass? In that case i would use the "Pass list" under settings on the Web Filter. And then "Client IP Address" If you use the Policy manager it will bypass all other modules too. But to answer your question try changing the interface from any to (on the clientside) inside and server side to external. And see if that works.

Thanks WebFooL,
I have made the changed remotely and will give it a try when I get home. Is the attached more like you suggested? I like your Idea of using the Pass List, and will use this for myself. But I want to setup timed rules for my kids. Once I get it working for me I will apply the settings to their IP addresses. Last edited by Trayshay; 02-09-2010 at 05:21 PM.. Reason: add attachment. |
