Default RAP in UT 7.0

Anyone else check out RAP after applying the v7 upgrade? I'm seeing some odd behavior in IE8 (screen is compressed vertically; links on main page disappears).

Looks ok on FF 3.5.

Dan,

I can confirm this as major bug. I had planned to roll out RAP. Have started testing it and getting some of our internal web links up and running.

But in IE8 it doesn't work too well. Have attached a screenshot.

works fine in Firefox 3.5 for me too.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for confirming the issue. I wonder how quickly they will get this resolved?

Just tried IE 8 and get the same problem. I also may have problems trying to upload (hangs) and delete files via the Portal from Firefox. This was an issue in the past.

This is bad because the average home user accepts the IE 8 update forced by Windows. Please fix!

Dan

I have no idea when this will get fixed.
Hopefully someone from the untangle team will see this thread and update us.

My experience with Remote Access Portal is that Untangle doesn't really spend any time upgrading or patching it anymore.

We just pretend the feature isn't there anymore.

Just my opinion.

Not that the pretending isn't there...

We have heard an announcement they they are considering taking the RAP that is and making it part of the open source package, and replacing the current RAP with a true SSL VPN system.

The current system is so full of bugs I'm surprised anyone has bothered using it.

That's too bad. Giving users an easy login to use common network drives is very handy.

I think I hear crickets chirping, though, on this part of the forum.
