Download folders as zip file?!?

I'm wondering if there is anyway to do this in the current RAP?

We use a box called firepass at present to handle our remote access portal and I'm look to get away from it.

As I work for council, the minutes for the full council meetings are hosted on a file server.
When the councillors come in for meeting some of them browse to the location of the meeting agenda/minutes. Then download the folder marked for that month.

For example October's meeting would be in a folder name October 2009, they'd in return click a link that says download folder as zip file.

The whole folder would then download as in a zip file.

Is this possible? Doubtful but I just wanted to ask.
