Default RAP to go EOL with Untangle 7.2

There has been some communication to Untangle resellers that with our next release (Untangle 7.2), we will no longer be including Remote Access Portal (nor PC Remote). This is indeed the case, so I wanted to make the information more broadly available here.

These apps have become a lot less popular over time, and it is time to let them go. Existing customers of these apps will still be able to use them - they will not disappear from their Untangle Servers. However, we will no longer be marketing them to new customers. With the 7.2 release, we will also be dropping them from our packages and bundles for new customers; again, existing customer will continue to have access to them.

(This message will be cross-posted on the PC Remote Forum, too.)

Default where is it?

Due to hardware failure I had to replace the ut server at our office. To do this I installed the latest release and then transferred the license. Remote Access portal is nowhere to be found.

Well it is weekend right now so that might be why it is taking some time.

I will check in the irc if any of the devs are there.

I've only just seen this, I've been using untangle for a while and the reason RAP has become less and less popular was because it was no longer supported a long time ago.

Really wish untangle had a remote file access solution like fileway http://www.everywherenetworks.com/owa-fileway.php

Should all the bug requests for RAP be closed?

Yes, I was just wondering if all the RAP bugzilla entries should be closed since the product is no longer in development.
