Is there a way to extend the data retention period for reporting. I have a lot of disk space that isn't being used by untangle and have plenty of other places to store it. Ideally, I would like to be able to store up to a year of reporting as management really likes the weekly and monthly summary reports.

I would really really encourage you to keep it at 7.
If you have a very very fast disk and a very good server that has resource overhead then go ahead and increase it, but realize that increasing that number largely increases the work the system has to do churning all that data.

I assume you mean 7 days. And by churning through all the data I assume that it doesn't dump historical data but maintains it for each application in the active database, then that makes sense to unload that extra info.
In that case, is there a better means of unloading or exporting the historical information automatically. I know it can email reports, but I was thinking in terms of dump history to windows share, ftp, etc. |

Yeah, you can do that.
export the database or just the reports in /usr/share/untangle/web/reports

I'd also be interested in doing this, especially if I could export this data into another "historical" database located on the untangle server. I have to keep logs for at least 90 days, and the reports themselves do not suffice.
Increasing the retention time to 90 days seems like I'd be shooting myself in the foot as far as performance goes, but having the ability to parse through all the data (I use Crystal Reports for some of what I do) would be great.
