Default mail not being processed by Spam Blocker Lite correctly

We have an up to date Untangle box. It is using Spam Blocker Lite. According to event logs, nothing has been processed since 3/06/2012. However, users are not receiving a lot of spam, which you would expect. All messages in the event log show as 'passed message', no blocks. Additionally, I have it it configured to create quarantine digests for all users (with a * wildcard). However, none of the digests are working.

So, as you can see, there are multiple problems that all seem to point to the Spam Blocker. I could use some pointers as to things to try. Thanks.

If all the messages are passed, then there will not be any message in the quarantine. Therefore no digests are sent.

Ok. I think I knew that. The question is, why are spam messages not being and logged in the vent viewer and why are quarantine digests of those blocked messages not being put into the quarantine digest? Certainly, not all mail is actually being passed, as we would be getting lots of spam.

Thank you for your reply. I am attaching a screenshot of the Config. The
Event Log only shows a week in March 2012 and it appeared to be working ok, as there are quarantined messages and a few dropped ones. However, it doesn't appear that mail is passing through the Spam Blocker, though something seems to be filtering spam fairly effectively.

    Many thanks

It is nice to see that someone else has an issue with this. Since I have not heard anything else from folks on the forum, I am assuming that there are no ideas as to why this is happening. To reiterate, it seems that spam is being filtered out for the most part, yet event logs in Spam Blocker Lite don't show any blocks. Also, there are no quarantines being produced. As CrazyLegs said, could the database be fouled up and the events table data is not synching with the web interface? I am attempting to get pgadmin connected with my database, but so far have not quite gotten there.

    Any other suggestions. Many thanks.

To follow up on my own post, I logged in to the database and queried the 3 tables related to spam filtering: n_spam_evt, n_spam_evt_smtp , n_spam_smtp_tarpit_evt

"Select * FROM n_spam_evt" shows no results. Same for the other two tables. So, unless I am misinterpreting this, nothing is being logged in the postgresql database.

Do you have the reports app installed?

Can someone explain why my posts were removed and re-posted to a new thread (http://forums.untangle.com/spam-bloc...-thread.html)? I'm having the same issue. How was what I was posting "hijacking"?
