I have just setup Untangle on a dedicated box.
Cable Modem -> Untangle -> Wireless Router The Web Filter is working great, but the Spam Blocker doesn't seem to be processing any email traffic. I don't have my own hosted email server but figured the pop3 & IMAP traffic would be filtered from my ISP. Is this an incorrect understanding of how SPAM Blocker works? Thanks! |

Spam blocker will filter all IMAP and POP3 traffic as it traverses the router. However, it cannot filter encrypted traffic, make sure you aren't using the SSL variants of those two protocols.

It can though it is not recommended to configure it so.
There is a default policy rule that makes all outbound port 25 traffic bypass all racks. You have to disable or delete this rule first in order for untangle to filter your outbound smtp traffic. |
