probably easiest to give support a call.
When you say "download from rack goes fine" what does that mean? what does "install never finishes" mean?

Thanks for the quick reply dmorris. I would call support but I don't have a paid for support box.
"When you say "download from rack goes fine" what does that mean?" I mean that i click the CommTouch Spam Booster on the left side of the rack for more info. The browser opens and I choose try commtouch. The app then begins to try and install. "what does "install never finishes" mean?" The green status bar indicating progress of the installation animates from left to right repeatedly but never completes the installation. The commtouch app never appears on the rack. I've let the install attempt to run as long as two hours. Pressley Pressley |

Get on the console of the Untangle box, pull up the web interface and see if you can browse to google.com.
Most of the time, the progress bar just running forever means Untangle for whatever reason isn't able to browse the net.

Paid apps come with support help for installation and setup of said paid apps.
Yeah, could be DNS issues. Also check that you are up-to-date.

That explains it. is there something blocking HTTP upstream of untangle? untangle needs to be able to use HTTP for many reasons, including download updates, upgrades, and apps. Are its external interfaces settings correct?

I'd set your external to be dynamic and then your internal to be bridge to your external (the default)
if you're cables are backwards I'd switch the cables not the configurations. but thats probably not related to the issue at hand - which is why doesn't untangle have tcp access to the internet.
