Default Unable to send email trough exchange

I installed untangle in bridge mode on my network. I have Exchange for email. I could receive email, but not send. I would get the "Email Delivery delayed" message. Here's how to fix it.

I changed the default gateway on my dhcp server to the untangle ip. This pushed all the emails that had been collecting since the UT install.

    Works great now!

In bridge mode the default gateway MUST BE the edge router.

Hmmm, strange that everything works just fine if that is the case. All my clients have the UT as default gateway, and no problems. When I change it back to the edge router my email problem comes back.

    Any thoughts?

Then Untangle is in router mode or not make sense.
Can you post here the interfaces configuration and a simple drawing whit the ip addres of your router, untangle, and internal servers?
You are talking about of untangle in stand alone edition? not untangle for windows or some type of virtual appliance.

So it started doing the same thing! I changed it back to the edge router, and it works for a couple of hours, same thing. I have to reboot the UT box about 3-4 times a day to make it work?

So i switched interfaces on the UT box, it seems like my email is working fine now, but my webfilter is not showing the block screen anymore? All I get is this:

NO blockpages or text only in a bridge mode usually means the interfaces are swapped.

I know they are switched. For some reason this is the only way my exchange email sends out smtp. Switching the interfaces blocks it for some reason.
