I wanted to test the Kaspersky Virus Blocker and the Virus Blocker to see how well it works. I send myself a virus on a email (Trojan-Downloader.JS.Small.ov) and both didn't block it or remove it but my Kaspersky Anti-Virus on my PC picked it up and deleted it.
I would prefer a situation where a virus never enters my network, so is there a way to make the virus blocker work or is there a program that does better. |

I'd start with reading the event logs to see if untangle even saw the email... If you're just sending it to yourself locally then Untangle probably won't see it. It can only scan things that go through it in SMTP (25), POP(110), and IMAP(143).

You can't scan SSL encrypted sessions, that's the point of encryption.

If you use pop (plain text or ssl) sure can ask to your provider to implement antispam/antivirus in the mailboxes he host.
