now isnt that ironic, they can protect you from viruses but clearly their system admins need some security classes.

well you never know what kind of tactics were employed to hack the site. Maybe it was brand new technique which no one has ever seen before or maybe it was due to someone inside being incompetent. We will never know...

The notice blames their web site hosting / management software. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Parallels strikes again.

There is a reason why best practices tell you to secure your admin sections by IP address... Untangle's VPN solution gives us a very easy way to do just that. And I use / abuse the crap out of it in my hosting rack.
