Kaspersky 2012 problem...?

I bought Kaspersky Anti-virus 2012 for my Windows XP Operating system..
My query is that during the activation process when I enter the licence/activation code, and click next the setup displays an error "Activation error. Necessary resource is unavailable on the activation server"
When I tried to activate the trial version, It happened straight away...what should i do now?

Review your logs to see if/which module might be blocking your activity...

With the number of good, free AV options available in the consumer space, I'm amazed that any end user still pays for personal AV software that must be activated.
