Default Kaspersky Virus Blocker??

Hello I just recently setup and configured a new untangle appliance for a small 25 workstation business.

I have purchased the premium package but am currently waiting for my license information to come and am using the "Trial" premium package. While configuring my default rack I see Virus Blocker lite and Virus Blocker, nothing about Kaspersky? While under the configuration-license tab it shows a Kaspersky license but no option to add to rack.

My first assumption was that the "Virus Blocker" full is using the Kaspersky engine but after more research it appears there is actually an "app" for the rack called Kaspersky?

If you could help clarify the differences in these that would be great, thank you!

Kaspersky is being phased out. The virus blocker now incorporates both clam and the new commercial engine. if you have the trial install for premium you do NOT need to install the lite stuff.

Not quite. Virus Blocker Lite is Clam, Virus Blocker is the new paid engine: source.

We're moving in that direction, but we weren't able to do it for virus blocker and virus blocker lite yet.

We did do that for spam blocker and spam blocker lite in 9.1

To be clear:
In 9.1
DO NOT run both spam blocker and spam blocker litte.
DO NOT run both web filter and web filter lite.
virus blocker and virus blocker lite is OK (*this may change in the future)

I really appreciate the responses, do we know what this new "better" OEM provider is?

Commtouch, same source as the upgraded Spam software. It's a cloud based engine, so no more CPU load on the box. I'm really excited about the new engine, it opens doors and reduces system requirements.

It's a DNS filter, so yes it did get around the CPU load.

Its not cloud based, the virus scanning engine runs locally on the server. It just uses less resources than kaspersky.
