Default Kaspersky Virus Blocker???

Kaspersky Virus Blocker displays "Invalid (Expired)"

I read on the previous post that Kaspersky is being phased out...is this the reason for the message?

I assume not as you are still taking my subscription fee for Kaspersky each month.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Kaspersky is being phased out, you can call support and they can explain in more detail (since it is a paid module), however you just need to go into your rack and remove it, and put in the Virus Blocker module if it isnt already installed (and you are a paying customer).

Yeah, think of it this way.

You aren't paying for the Kaspersky AV Module. You're paying for the Virus Blocker, as opposed to the free Virus Blocker Lite.

The Kaspersky module is going away, it's been replaced with a much more efficient Commtouch based module.

So do as raditude suggests, yank out the old one, install the new one. Support can help as well if you get stuck.

Yep, just click on "install" on the "Virus Blocker" on the left hand side and you should be good. It should already be licensed for the new Virus Blocker.

This should have happened automatically so something might be weird. I would give support a call and we can sort it out for you.

Should it be possible for a user already licensed with kaspersky to also install virus blocker? On my NFR box I can seem to have all 3 installed is this ok/normal?

Both boxes I have subs on near me did not remove Kaspersky, nor did they auto-install Virus Blocker.

That said, neither one of them said Kaspersky was "expired" either.

Yeah I just added virus blocker and now all 3 are there and both kaspersky and virus blocker look to be licensed and working.

It should only replace kaspersky at midnight the day before it expires. At this point you should already have a license for virus blocker.
You can see when your subscription expires in config->system info->licenses.

I would not suggest running all three.
