Will do that then. Thanks for the prompt response.
I am trying to remove any AV software inside the LAN. Most people connect to a Terminal Server, and all external media on the thin clients are disabled (Cd ROM, USB). The only way of getting any files into the network is either via me, or via some external source (which in that case has to pass through the Untangle server). So I'm not worried about getting any infections that way. What I am worried about is having enough protection before the data gets in, especially when I am not familiar with the Kaspersky. I am only experienced with Norton and AVG. I use Untangle as a bridge and the network is protected by a Smoothwall firewall (also running ClamAV). But I guess now when Untangle is running ClamAV, running it on the Smoothwall as well seems pointless since they would do exactly the same scan. Last edited by MockY; 05-26-2009 at 03:48 PM.. |
