Exclamation Web Filter Lite - Sponsored Listings showed on block page

    Dear,

I noticed that there are some news :
    1) Web Filter became a Web Filter Lite
    2) when some page is blocked there is showing sponsored listings, even ad blocker is installed.

I would like to remove sponsored listings from the page that shows reason of blocking.

I tried attaching the print screen of blocked page, but there is limit that I must make 5 posts, and then I would be able to attach the picture. I really don't want now to spam with posts here.

I found one link (and need to make 5 posts to be able to share that link), but I can't use that link for making those links (on blocked webpage) to dissapear.

Any instructions how to do it (remove sponsored listings) ?

    Rgds.

you need at least one paid app to remove the ads from the web filter lite block page.

Really embarrassing. Untangle should notify all the registered users on e-mail for that stuff. I thought that I am registered and didn't notice any e-mail regarding this stuff.
Now, it seems that I implemented half made and not proven solution just because of that sponsored listings. Trying to block ads and sponsored links, and now I am in situation that solution that I let work on it is showing sponsored links.

If you were around here one year ago, there was a big ta-do about it. Comes down to that's what they needed to do to keep the Lite version going for free. That's just the way it is, and if you are deploying in a business setting I guess you just need to pay the piper.

There are a lot of free Lite versions out there, and we need to keep Untangle healthy and viable and that is the route they took to keep it wide open and free.

Also please do remember all you need is a single paid subscription to get rid of the ads. So purchase policy manager for each of your boxes and the ads are gone. Policy manager is the cheapest a la carte module but in my opinion provides the most benefit.

Well, I'm sorry you didn't get your money's worth.
