Hi,
I have setup untangle lite at our school as out primary web filter initally. We use ESET NOD32 as our anti virus solution. I get a lot of entries for tsm0*.eset.com:80 which looks to be the update service for the clients. Is there any fix I can apply to allow these? I've added eset.com and the tms to the pass list, but to no avail.

Are you blocking them?
By default only porn is blocked and I'm pretty sure that isn't categorized porn.
You shouldn't have to *do* anything to not block them, that will be the default.

Is ":80" really in the URI?

:80 in the URI is actually normal for ESet updates. I'm not quite sure why but the client always manually specifies the port when it makes a request. (I've seen similar logs when I got crazy with the full Web Filter for LWBC)

My ESet customers always use a local mirror, that said I have a few laptops that are configured to get updates from the cloud so they can get updates while they travel. I've never seen Untangle block these updates.

If you've configured the Web Filter a bit on the aggressive side I suppose it could be blocked. Personally I'd just put *eset.com* in the pass list and move on.
