Hi;
I'm using a UT 6.2 box and use Simply Accounting Pro 2009. It goes out and checks for updates and patches and when say OK to download/install them, it gets to about 91% and fails. I am able to go directly to the download site and manually download/install the update, so is UT blocking this for some reason? I believe Simply uses a MySql database and it listens and communicates on ports 13530 and 13531 ... Thanks in advance, Hemmy

Hi Hemmy,
Which version of Windows are you using? XP? Vista? If you're using Vista, the update can be trying to install in the C:\Program Files directory which may cause the download to fail. I've found in my experience users can't save any files for that matter in this location in Vista. Have you tried saving the update to the "Desktop" when you tried using the auto download feature? Give that a try if you haven't already done so if you need to download the update again. Can I ask what a UT 6.2 box is? Unless this is an antivirus software I don't believe this should be blocking the update from downloading. As dmorris suggested turning off the antivirus before attempting to downloading the update can help as this may prevent the update from downloading completely. In my experience I've seen antivirus programs being turned on during the download process cause incomplete downloads of the updates.
