Default A few questions

Hello! I hope to get some help to finish configuring the web filter, I really like it so far, just have a few questions:

1. I was trying out the web filter but have no been able to figure out how to exclude some IPs from being filtered. I followed the directions from the web filter wiki but it still doesn't work. I gave it the client's IP address and subnet mask but this machine still gets blocked.

2. Is there a way to tell the web filter to block sites according to some words. For example, if the site has the words sex or hacking then these sites should be blocked.

3. Whenever a site is blocked, the page with the Untangle logo comes up. I was wondering if there is a way to edit the logo out of the page so the users won´t know what software is being use to monitor them, or if there is a way to insert a custom block alert page

4. Something very particular I also found was that, for some reason, the Playboy webpage doesn't get blocked, even if i have checked that pornographic sites should be blocked and I also told the web filter to block that specific web address. All other pages are blocked by the filter except this one, does anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Andres,

1. Just add the client ip under.
Default rack>Webfilter>Pass lists> Client IP addresses
add ip with /32. if you use /24 the hole range will be able to bypass the webfilter.
Try to power off and on the webfilter if it dosent pass traffic.

2. No word filter at this moment.
there are a bug for it http://bugzilla.untangle.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2910

3. If you buy the Brandmanager module you can change logo.
Otherwise you can edit the Skin or the css. (/var/skins/default)

4. no clue to this one.

For #4.
Enable SSH (http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/Enable_SSH)

Then use WinSCP to download the files localy and then edit them.
