I don't have AD. A porn event showed up in the summary. I would think that clicking on the word Pornography at that point, would be a link to "who done it", at least by IP. (this would be a good new feature)
Is there a way I am not seeing to see which machine, by IP, had this violation? |

can you post a screen shot of the event?
Is it in the Event log for the WebFilter? in that case you will see [Timestamp] [Action] [Client] [Request] [Reason For Action] [Server] So check under Client for the "Porn" request. And you should find the Computer that did the viewing..

I have 25 pages of violations logs on the summary page. They are apparently not sorted by category and I can't click to sort them (this is another feature that should be there).
I didn't find it in those pages..??? I am still testing Untangle--free with a few users and alternate internet feed to see if it will meet my needs. Being able to quickly determine who did what is a must for whatever I go with. OK. For Event Log, on Reports page, I looked through all 25 pages and did NOT see porn as a category. There needs to be the ability to sort each column and a filter ability as well. Thanks for replying, BTW. |

OK. I have 25 pages, 1000 entries to scan through. I didn't see those 2 porn entries. I finally clicked the icon to export to Excel and was able to sort.
If you are going to make an enhancement. Do the following: 1.) When it shows violations like Pornography on the summary page, make that a link that will show just those violations and "WHO DUN IT" ![]() 2.) Make a dropdown on the Violations log page so that you can choose Category and only see those. 3.) Allow for a company DNS to be used to link IP's to host without needing Name Map--or as an option on that, for those not running AD Thanks for the help. I hope to see improvements in newer releases. I am still just evaluating with a small user set at present. |
