Default Spyware Blocker not working in UT 6.0

    Hello,

I have just finished installing version 6.0 of UT and am finding that I am having problems with being able to get into the settings section for the spyware blocker. Also when I have it powered on, it prevents any browser from displaying the contents of randomly selected pages. With it turned off though I can refresh the page and all of the content will be visible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Everything else seems to be working fine and I have finished configuring all of the other applications I plan to be using.

Thank you for your time and any help you can provide,
    Andrew

Based on some similar issues with the web filter part, try removing it and then reloading it.
That seemed to work for some that had the web filter not work at all.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how does one go about removing components from the rack? From what I can see it requires getting into the settings for the app, and like i mentioned previously I am unable to do that.

open the settings and click remove

if you can't do that something has gone seriously wrong.

drop to a terminal and do
'ucli instances' this will show you your apps
find the ID number (XX) for the app and type
    'ucli destroy XX'

    had the same problem.

thought you may want to see what the result of ucli instances was. it had spyware show up as initializing. when trying to configure it through the GUI it just kept trying to load over and over again.

destroying it and reinstalling fixed the issue.

    hope this helps.
