I get to update a buncha server when 8.1 comes out soon then. Excellent, my job security is affirmed .

Only wish I had a network with live people behind it to test I can't test too well in my lab beyond configuration and connectivity. This update has some nice reporting and filtering features. Ew VPN changes.
The beatings shall continue until morale improves!

i can check it out either tonight or over the weekend. I checked for upgrades and none are available yet. Is there a cli option to force an upgrade from 7.x or is a new install needed and then restore from a 7.x backup?

    Webfool, good point.
I added a comment to the changelog.

My understanding is that it now installs correctly even when not administrator?
    Is this true?

Anyway - QA gave it a test a couple days ago and it worked fine. Thanks!

Well OpenVPN's Chang log say "TAP-Win32 adapter can now be opened from non-administrator mode."

But i guess that the GUI still needs to be "run as admin".

(As I run with UAC off i haven't tried it)

I posted this in another post I had over in the Feedback section not knowing that this beta had been announced...

Does anyone know if the new Bandwidth Control application in 8.0 will be apart of the free Lite Package or if it will only be in the Premium Packages...?

EDIT: Got my answer in the other post.. sorry for the second post...

If you are willing to test the upgrade process (traffic not critical and you have a backup config just in case it goes wrong), we can offer upgrade instructions on the Test community site. If not already a member just send me a PM to add you so you have rights to the early upgrade process.
